Portrait Study of the beautiful lockstock from DA. Lots of mistakes in this I know, but I really enjoyed painting it (or maybe the enjoyment was because I had the day off work woooohoooo)
A painters journey to discover their own style. Pictures range from still life, portraiture and Norse-influenced themes to great tales of adventure, painted traditionally in oils, sketched in graphite and pastel or digitally in photoshop or Corel Painter.

I have really enjoyed this painting. The expression on her face is unusual. What is she thinking?
Merry Christmas Jade and I hope we can bump in to each other again. I am so sorry I missed you at ou opening. Kay
Hey Jade, sounds excellent - we should be here, stuck on the farm - looking forward to seeing you guys - take care Val xoxo
Thanks for sharing, your blog is worth reading, nice post. Keep it up.
Dearest Jade,
I want to thank you for stopping by at my art web site and always checking out my new works..it is lovely to still feel that connection to you and your work. I am really changing my attitudes towards my art work and feel that it is truely time to forget about actually making money out of it all....I just love to paint and I will now do it for the pure love of it over and above anything else, and if I have to give everything that I do away rather than receive a cent...so be it!
Your painting is gorgeous and very inspiring...you certainly have a way of capturing a feeling and an aura....keep up the good work..I love the eyes!
Have a wonderful New Year!
Renata

Hi PG lol Thanks heaps mate! Thanks for the well wishes, and to you too! I hope that in 2010 you find some peace my friend and I look forward to seeing some creations from you!
Hi Kay! Thanks matey - yes if we end up in the same show will have to co-ordinate a coffee aye!
Thankyou muchly, Essay.
Hi Renata, so awesome to hear from you! I am stoked to hear that you are painting from the heart - with creativity, making money is a welcome bonus I think...though we would all like to be able to live off what we love to do. When you put your heart into it though, others will feel it in the painting, and then if we are lucky, some will buy them!
I know you love to paint, and you are so good at it! I look forward to seeing more of your work in 2010 - painted without fear! Go sick mate lol
Thanks Rex, Rock on yourself!
Hi Jade, with medium did you use for this painting? Watercolour?
I don't see any major troubles.
Perhaps, if any, you finished too soon.
yes you are quite right Ariel, finished too soon. I've done some more work to it since, I will have to post it up - would love to hear your thoughts on it. The medium is oil.
